CENTIPEDE SOD

Has been described as a "lazy man's grass" because of its low maintenance requirements. It is a medium textured, medium green color with leaf blades that are commonly 2-4 mm wide. Centipede sod can handle some shade but really thrives in full sunlight. However, it is the most economical choice.

*** Annual applications of nitrogen are in spring and fall. 1 pound per 1000 sf is recommended (Like an 8-8-8 or 10-10-10). Mowing height of 3/4 to 2 inches is recommended.

St. Augustine grass

PALMETTO ST. AUGUSTINE SOD

It has a beautiful dark green color with a texture that is softer than other St. Augustine varieties. It adapts well to shaded areas, has excellent fall color retention, an early spring green up (if dormant), and a leaf blade width of 8-9 mm.

Fertilize in the spring with a time released 16-4-8. If needed in the summer, a time released 10-10-10, and in fall a time released 8-8-8.

Mowing height 2" -2 1/2" recommended.

Zoysia grass

EMPIRE ZOYSIA SOD

This has an eye catching dark green color, luxurious soft-to-touch tight blade, with growth of 5-7mm. It has a massive root system that runs deep and sustains the grass through periods of heavy drought, heavy use and harsh conditions while providing rapid injury recovery. 

Fertilize in the spring and summer with a time released 16-4-8 and in the fall and winter balance 10-10-10. 

Mowing height 3/4"-2" recommended.

Bahia sod

BAHIA SOD

This sod is used for commercial use, such as on the roadside and holding ponds to prevent erosion. It comes in 30 in x 110 ft rolls.

Hydroseeding

HYDROSEEDING

This is used commercially for erosion control. It is distributed with a water spray of seed and mulch tack.
